NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

 OF THE VINEYARD TOWN COUNCIL

October 28, 2009, 7:00 PM

Public Notice is hereby given that the Vineyard Town Council will hold a regular meeting on October 28, 2009, starting at 7:00 PM, in the Vineyard Town Hall; 240 East Gammon Road, Vineyard, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

3.  PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE COUNCIL: Planning Commission Liaison Norman Holdaway

 

4. STAFF REPORT

5.  BUSINESS ITEMS:

 

5.1 Discussion and Action: OREM/VINEYARD FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACT – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve a proposed agreement between Orem and Vineyard for fire protection services.

 

5.2 Discussion and Action: CU-09-03 – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve a Conditional Use Permit Application on 3 acres of property to allow for a soil mixing and composting facility in the Industrial (I-1) Zoning District located at approximately 200 West 1350 North, within Lot 1 of the Geneva Park West Subdivision. (Garner Construction and Excavation, Applicant).

 

                        Background: The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on October 21, 2009 and voted 3 – 1 to recommend approval subject to 5 stipulations.

 

5.3 Discussion and Action: CU-09-04 – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve a Conditional Use Permit Application on 2.44 acres of property to allow a furniture, cabinetry, and millwork manufacturing facility in the Industrial (I-1) Zoning District located at 331 East 1750 North, on Lot 11in the Eastlake at Geneva Industrial Business Park, Phase 1. (Mark Wadsworth of Hadsworth, LLC, Applicant).

 

                        Background: The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on October 21, 2009 and voted 3 – 0 to recommend approval subject to 2 stipulations.

 

5.4 Discussion and Action: DR-09-03 – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve a site plan on 2.44 acres of property to allow a furniture, cabinetry, and millwork manufacturing facility in the Industrial (I-1) Zoning district located at 331 East 1750 North, on Lot 11 in the Eastlake at Geneva Industrial Business Park, Phase 1. (Mark Wadsworth of Hadsworth, LLC, Applicant).

 

                        Background:  The Planning Commission reviewed the application on October 21, 2009 and voted 3 – 0 to recommend approval of the site plan subject to 8 stipulations.

 

5.4 Discussion and Action: RESOLUTION 2009-10; THE UTAH LAKE TOLL BRIDGE – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve, by resolution, the Utah Lake Toll Bridge.

 

                        Background:  The Vineyard Town Council has been asked to express its support for the concept of a privately owned, financed and operated toll bridge to be built across Utah Lake.

NOTE: “Open Session” is defined as time set aside for citizens to express their views. Each speaker is limited to three minutes. Because of the need for proper public notice, immediate action will not be taken in the Council Meeting. If action is necessary, the item will be listed on a following agenda, however, the Council may elect to discuss the item if it is an immediate matter of concern.

 

The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to Utah Code 52-4-5.

 

The Public is invited to participate in all Town Council meetings. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations during this meeting should notify the Town Clerk at least 3 days before the meeting by calling (801) 226-1929.
