NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE VINEYARD TOWN COUNCIL

August 26, 2009, 7:00 PM

Public Notice is hereby given that the Vineyard Town Council will hold a regular meeting on August 26, 2009, starting at 7:00 PM, in the Vineyard Town Hall; 240 East Gammon Road, Vineyard, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

2. MINUTES REVIEW AND APPROVAL

 

3.  PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE COUNCIL: Planning Commission Liaison Norman Holdaway

 

4. STAFF REPORT

  • Planner – Nathan Crane

  • Water Operator Technician – Sullivan Love

5.  BUSINESS ITEMS:

 

5.1 Discussion and Action: NORTHERN UNITED FÜTBOL CLUBThe Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve the use of the J Rulon Gammon Vineyard Town Heritage Park for the Northern United Fütbol Club. 

 

5.2 Discussion and Action: JEFF HOLDAWAY IMPACT FEES – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly act to approve an adjustment in the impact fees paid by resident Jeff Holdaway.

 

5.3 Discussion: VOTE-BY-MAIL ELECTION – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss and possibly give direction in regards to pursuing a vote-by-mail election.

 

                        Background: Section 20A-3-302 of the Utah State Code permits towns to administer an election entirely by absentee ballot if approved by the county commission.  Due to potential cost savings of such an election, the Election Officer and Town Clerk seeks direction by the town council in order to pursue this option for the 2009 Vineyard Municipal Election.

7:30 P.M., or as soon as possible thereafter  EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The Vineyard Town Council will hold an Executive Session pursuant to Utah Code Sections 52-4-204 and 52-4-205 for the purpose of discussing the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual.  Executive Sessions are closed to the public.

 

 

10. ADJOURNMENT

 

 

 

 

 

NOTE: “Open Session” is defined as time set aside for citizens to express their views. Each speaker is limited to three minutes. Because of the need for proper public notice, immediate action will not be taken in the Council Meeting. If action is necessary, the item will be listed on a following agenda, however, the Council may elect to discuss the item if it is an immediate matter of concern.

 

The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to Utah Code 52-4-5.

 

The Public is invited to participate in all Town Council meetings. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations during this meeting should notify the Town Clerk at least 3 days before the meeting by calling (801) 226-1929.
