NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE VINEYARD TOWN COUNCIL

July 8, 2009, 7:00 PM

Public Notice is hereby given that the Vineyard Town Council will hold a regular meeting on July 8, 2009, starting at 7:00 PM, in the Vineyard Town Hall; 240 East Gammon Road, Vineyard, Utah. The agenda will consist of the following:

3.  PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE

     COUNCIL: Planning Commission Liaison Norman Holdaway

 

4. STAFF REPORT

5.  BUSINESS ITEMS:

 

5.1 Continued Discussion and Action:  UTAH DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (UDOT) GENEVA ROAD/400 SOUTH PROJECT The Vineyard Town Council will continue to discuss and possibly act to approve a Cooperative Betterment Agreement for the Geneva Road Project.  The Agreement will include plans for lighting, landscaping and the water line. 

 

5.2 Discussion: RAILROAD ORDINANCE APPLICATIONThe Vineyard Town Council will discuss the adoption of an ordinance regulating the operation of the railroad through the Town, as proposed by Anderson Geneva.  The application is intended to address the various issues related to operation of the railroads.

 

5.3 Discussion: IMPACT FEESThe Vineyard Town Council will discuss the various options the town may take regarding impact fees.

 

                        Background:  Due to requests by developers, the council will explore various options to lower the current impact fees.

 

5.4 Discussion: VINEYARD RECYCLING – The Vineyard Town Council will discuss the possibility of recycling in Vineyard.

7:30 P.M., or as soon as possible thereafter  EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The Vineyard Town Council will hold an Executive Session pursuant to Utah Code Sections 52-4-204 and 52-4-205 for the purpose of discussing the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual.  Executive Sessions are closed to the public.

 

NOTE: “Open Session” is defined as time set aside for citizens to express their views. Each speaker is limited to three minutes. Because of the need for proper public notice, immediate action will not be taken in the Council Meeting. If action is necessary, the item will be listed on a following agenda, however, the Council may elect to discuss the item if it is an immediate matter of concern.

 

The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to Utah Code 52-4-5.

The Public is invited to participate in all Town Council meetings. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations during this meeting should notify the Town Clerk at least 3 days before the meeting by calling (801) 226-1929.
